(17:00:40) Musical Performance

Speaker [00:00:02] I just want to thank everyone for coming out today in this blistering heat. I know yall are hot. I know I am. But it means so much that you guys are still out here, still sitting with us, hearing our voices. And I want to thank you so much. And when did this all happen? I'm a person that connects to music, especially in the town of South Plainfield. I live one block away from South Plainfield. So I spent my life from Plainfield and South Plainfield.

Speaker [00:00:31] I grew up in the school of Cederbrook Elementary school. And I went there. And then I started to go to Sacred Heart School here. It is now known as Holy Trinity. And that was the first time I experienced the N-word before my face. My first name, that person was white. And I feel like I need to show my voice today. And I know as an artist how I can show my love then.
